Applications and uses of stretch ceilings

The stretch ceiling is a modern and high-tech way of the ceiling finishing, which can benefit most, if not all designer project ideas. The application range of these ceilings is practically unlimited.

Our stretch ceilings can be used in almost any type of houses, apartments, offices and other buildings, including ones with elevated requirements for the fire- and bio- protection; among these are children rooms, sanitary, medical and educational institutions. Our stretch ceilings can be successfully used in both new buildings or for renovations and decorating the old ones.

The appearance of the stretch ceiling will not change due to of any possible land subsidence (for newly erected buildings), while the common ceiling can get some cracks or irregularities. They are essential in the wet rooms (moisture resistant, no condensation).

Stretch ceilings are remarcable in simplicity and efficiency of the installation (only few hours is needed, depends on the room size). Installation is not a messy or dusty procedure, there is no need to remove furniture from the room, the only requirement is free access to the perimeter of the room. It is, however adivsable to remove plants and fish tanks, as the space is heated up to 50°C during final installation (~ about 20-30 minutes). Generally, the installation in an average size room (about 20m²) is completed within 2-3 hours.

Minimum maintenance is required, and in rooms where cleaning may be necessary (such as a kitchen), the ceiling can be cleaned if necessary. The fact that stretch ceilings are plastic means that water does no harm and using a soft microfiber cloth with mild soap, makes cleaning easy. In the case of heavy soiling, steam cleaning is also an option.

Stretch ceilings are primarily designed for interior use and for environments where there are no risks of damage by using sharp objects that could perforate its thin membrane. They could, however, also be used for outbuildings such as pergolas, lapas, etc.
