Can stretch ceilings be installed in any room?

Yes.

Stretch ceilings are absolutely safe for installation in most residential and commercial premises. It is however prohibited to install them in the premises with the high temperature level (steam rooms, hot-tempered workshops etc.). The application of the stretch ceilings is also limited in non-heated premises where the temperature can fall below 0°C.

At what stage of renovation is it better to install a stretch ceiling?

At any time.

The stretch ceilings can be installed at any stage of renovation: during, before and after. The only requirement is that the walls and wall decorations (i.e. tiling, painting etc.) should be done before ceiling installation.

Can the furniture and the wall-paper get spoiled or damaged during the installation?

No.

During the installation we have to increase the temperature up to 50°-60°C only. The furniture and the other subjects of an interior would not be affected.

How much of the room height I will lose after stretch ceiling is installed?

The stretch ceilings are mounted on a distance of 2.5 - 3 cm from an existing ceiling. That applies if you are going to install chandelier. If you are thinking of other light fittings you should consult with us. It can depend on the particular type of light fittings and the possibility to hide it in the existing ceiling. The worst case scenario – is 7-10 cm from existing ceiling..

How much time is needed for the installation?

It depends on a complexity of the object. The average installation in the room of 20 square meters with four corners takes between 2-4 hours.

Does the new stretch ceiling have a smell?

Yes.

As with any new thing, there is a light smell but it usually disappears within 2-4 days.
Within a month there will not be even a gentle hint of a smell in your room.

Is the seam on the PVC film very visible?

No.

The thickness of a seam is 0,2 mm. It can only be seen very slightly under certain angles. However on the matte and satin membrane they are totally invisible.

How long does the stretch ceilings last?

The time is not limited. We give a ten years' guarantee for a membrane seams, harpoon and profile.

What will happen to the stretch ceilings in the event of the water leak from the upper floor or geyser burst?

Water will be accumulated in stretched blister - the stretch ceiling is very durable and can withstand up to 150L of water per 1m². You will have to call us to drain the water out and to reinstall the ceiling.
The ceiling will not be damaged and will look like new. The glossy membrane however could lose its shine if overheated (if the temperature of water was over 75°C).

How can I clean my stretch ceiling if necessary?

Stretch ceiling can be washed with soap liquid and soft cloth. No abrasives, thinners or other aggressive chemicals should be used.

Can I install stretch ceiling myself?

No.

Some special and quite expensive equipment is needed for installation. Besides that, the experience is also needed as there some tricky techniques that are used, although the installation process is fast and seems easy. Skilled team is a must for the proper installation.
